Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's volleyball team picked up it's second straight State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) sweep on Saturday afternoon against Potsdam. Prior to the start of the game, the Knights honored their three graduating seniors, Morgan Michalski, Mary-Kate Saladino, and Emily Bablin with a short ceremony.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo got off to a slow start as the Bears led by as many as four points at 13-9 in the first set. However, the Knights were able to settle down and win nine of the next 11 points for an 18-15 advantage. Geneseo was able to ride the momentum from that big run to a 25-19 win.
- The second set continued the dominant action from the Knights as they worked their way to a 25-15 win.
- Potsdam jumped ahead early in the third set with an 8-3 advantage, but following a timeout Geneseo was able to work their way back into the set. The Knights continued to pressure the Bears defense and were able to ulimately pull away with a 25-21 victory to complete the sweep.
QUICK FACTS
- Junior opposite Isabella Imbo led the Geneseo attack with 12 kills and a .321 hitting percentage, while junior middle blocker Jackie Borland continued her strong performance from yesterday's match as she tallied nine kills and a .412 hitting percentage.
- Michalski dished out 29 assists for the Knights, while also leading the team in digs with 16. Junior libero Emily Haber tallied 14 digs.
- Geneseo has now won seven-straight matches against Potsdam and sits at 28-8 all-time.

Geneseo will continue SUNYAC action next weekend as they host Fredonia and Buffalo St. on Oct. 15 and 16, respectively.
