HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles started hot, earning an 11-point lead out of the gate before Michael Gannon was able to end the drought with an elbow jumper.
- First year guard Aaron Davis sparked a 12-2 run for the Knights, scoring a layup off a steal then a three pointer on the following possession.
- Gannon later scored eight-straight points including back-to-back three pointers as the Knights ended the half down, 41-24.
- Junior forward Alex Mehrige tallied nine second-half points, but it was not enough as the Knights fell to the Golden Eagles.
