Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior guard Sara Ciotti and junior forward Kerrin Montgomery each tallied 18 points as the Knights raced past conference opponent Buffalo State, 71-56, on Tuesday Night at Schrader Gym.
HOW IT HAPPENED

The Knights offense started off hot in the first shooting 4-for-4 from three point range, as junior guard Natalie Alfieri totaled seven points on 3-for-3 shooting. Geneseo ended the first frame with a 22-11 lead.

Junior forward Kerrin Montgomery added a team-high seven second quarter points including two three-point plays and four rebounds.

Ciotti caught fire late in the second quarter, hitting three-straight shots including two three-pointers, finishing the half with 11 points, as the Knights entered halftime up, 39-20.

Geneseo continued their offensive success in the third, as Alfieri hit a three-pointer on the Knights' first possession followed by back-to-back Ciotti scores, but the Bengals outscored the Knights, 15-11, in the third to cut into the Knights' lead.

The Knights held onto the lead in the fourth despite a small Bengals run, securing the victory, 71-56.
