Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo sophomore forward Michael Gannon led the Knights with 15 points, but it was visiting Plattsburgh escaping with a win, 68-59, in SUNYAC action, Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gannon connected on his first of three three-pointers on the night with 13:34 remaining in the first half, cutting the Knights' early deficit to 9-8.
- Sophomore guard Elijah Wingfield scored five points in the final two minutes of the first half, including a three-pointer with 39 seconds remaining 36-23 advantage in favor of Plattsburgh. The Knights trailed at the break, 38-23.
- Geneseo began a 7-0 scoring run with 16:00 remaining in the game as first-year guard Harrison Dignan contributed back-to-back transitional buckets, bringing the Knights within two points, 43-41, at the 13:17 mark.
- The Knights pulled within one point as senior guard Terence Rogers drilled a three-pointer at the 6:48 mark, making it a 54-53 contest. Plattsburgh did not relinquish its lead, claiming a 68-59 decision behind several made free throws in the closing minutes.
