Box Score FREDONIA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore guard Michael Gannon scored 14 points to lead the Knights to a 58-48 victory over host Fredonia in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action on Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior forward Alex Merhige scored five points in the early going as the Knights opened the game on a 10-0 run.
- Geneseo led by as many as 13 points in the first half and went into halftime leading the Blue Devils, 31-22.
- Fredonia scored eight-straight points to open the second half, part of a 12-1 run to take the lead, 34-32, with 14:49 to play.
- Geneseo rallied for another 10-0 run to regain an eight-point lead, 42-34, with 9:46 remaining.
- The Blue Devils drew to within five points with 2:46 to play, but first-year guard Harrison Dignan sank a pair of free throws and came away with a steal to seal the win for the Knights.
