PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - First-year forward Lauren Romito scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for her first career double-double as the Knights held on to defeat Plattsburgh, 66-54, on Friday night. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Geneseo opened a 10-5 lead before the Knights took off on 14-4 run to take a 24-9 lead. Plattsburgh drew back to within 10 before the end of the quarter, 24-14. 
• The Knights held the Cardinals scoreless in the second quarter and took a 35-14 lead into the halftime break.
• Junior guard Lindsay Halpin scored eight third-quarter points to lead the Knights while Plattsburgh outscored Geneseo, 15-14 in the frame. 
• In the fourth quarter, Plattsburgh used a 10-2 run to draw within 13 points, 53-40, with 5:14 to go. The Cardinals threatened late in the fourth quarter, but Geneseo held on for the conference victory.

QUICK FACTS

• Senior forward Kerrin Montgomery finished with a team-high 17 points and added eight rebounds while Halpin added 10 points. 
• Geneseo turned the ball over 18 times, while Plattsburgh committed just 11. 
• The Knights outrebounded the Cardinals, 47-38, and held the hosts to 28.8% shooting from the floor.
