Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo senior defender Julia Kim scored in the 24th minute in the Knights' 1-0 shutout of visiting Ithaca, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The lone goal came during a Geneseo penalty corner in the second quarter. Junior forward Hayley Clark centered a pass from the right wing to Kim, who lofted a one-timer high into the Bomber net for what proved to be the deciding tally.
- Geneseo was awarded a penalty stroke in the 40th minute of action and nearly made it a two-goal advantage. However, Ithaca goalie Macy Brandwein came into the game and made a diving pad save for her only action of the night.
MATCH NOTES
- Geneseo finished the game with a 21-4 edge in shots, including a 17-2 advantage in shots on goal.
- Sophomore Natalie Chojnacki made one save while senior defender Kelley McKeveny was credited with a defensive save in the 49th minute during a Bomber penalty corner to preserve the shutout.
