Box Score NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year forward Owen Frank scored twice as part of a five-goal second half, leading the Knights to a 6-2 victory over host New Paltz on Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- New Paltz took a first-half lead with a goal in the eighth minute, but senior back Caleb Murthy leveled the score in the 16th minute, scoring on an assist from sophomore forward Ariel Samoohy.
- The Hawks grabbed another lead, scoring before halftime to make it 2-1.
- In the second half, Geneseo tied the game again as first-year back Cameron Houser scored his first collegiate goal in the 66th minute.
- Frank scored his first goal of the game to give the Knights a 3-2 lead in the 71st minute.
- First-year midfielder Justin Arilotta, Samoohy and Frank each added insurance goals in the final 15 minutes as the Knights pulled away.
