NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year forward Owen Frank scored twice as part of a five-goal second half, leading the Knights to a 6-2 victory over host New Paltz on Friday afternoon. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• New Paltz took a first-half lead with a goal in the eighth minute, but senior back Caleb Murthy leveled the score in the 16th minute, scoring on an assist from sophomore forward Ariel Samoohy.
• The Hawks grabbed another lead, scoring before halftime to make it 2-1.
• In the second half, Geneseo tied the game again as first-year back Cameron Houser scored his first collegiate goal in the 66th minute. 
• Frank scored his first goal of the game to give the Knights a 3-2 lead in the 71st minute.
• First-year midfielder Justin Arilotta, Samoohy and Frank each added insurance goals in the final 15 minutes as the Knights pulled away.

QUICK FACTS 

• Geneseo scored six goals in a game for the first time since Sept. 24, 2016, a 6-1 victory over Fredonia. 
• Arilotta and Samoohy each finished with a goal and an assist while junior midfielder Marco LaRocca notched two assists to bring his team-leading season total to four. 
• First-year goalkeeper Will Price made seven saves to earn the win. 
• The Knights moved into a three-way tie for fifth place in the conference standings with two games left to play.
