Box Score OSWEGO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore guard Lindsay Halpin scored a team-high 15 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished five assists and ripped three steals as the Knights rolled past Oswego, 74-48, in both teams' State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) opener on Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo scored the first seven points of the game on its way to an early 9-3 lead. From there, the Knights went on a 14-0 run capped by back-to-back Halpin layups, before Oswego scored the final field goal of the quarter, giving the Knights a 23-5 lead entering the second period.
- The Knights outscored the Lakers, 21-16, in the second quarter as sophomore forward Kerrin Montgomery finished the frame with a layup to put the Knights up, 44-21, entering the halftime break.
- Geneseo began the third quarter with five-straight buckets to extend the lead to 54-21. The Knights held the Lakers to just seven third quarter points as the lead ballooned to 63-28 entering the fourth.
- Oswego outscored the Knights, 20-11, in the final frame, but it wasn't enough to catch Geneseo as the Knights rolled to the victory.

- Senior guard Kelsey Poplawski scored 11 points while sophomore guard Natalie Alfieri added nine. All 12 Knights recorded at least one point in the game.
