Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo senior forward Gabriella Clare and senior defender Lydia Volpe each tallied first-half goal to lead the Knights to a 2-0 victory over visiting Houghton, Wednesday.
Geneseo (7-3) won its fifth-straight decision and has out-scored its opposition, 27-2, during the streak.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Clare corralled a ball in front of the Houghton goal and maneuvered a shot around the goalie inside the left post with 27:57 on the first-half clock.
- Volpe collected her own rebound during a Geneseo corner attempt and scored from close range with 2:24 left in the first half.
MATCH NOTES
- Clare notched her fourth-consecutive game with a goal, totaling 16 points on seven goals and two assists during the run.
- Geneseo notched its fourth-consecutive shutout, out-scoring its last four opponents, 22-0.
- Volpe registered her second-straight game with a goal.
