POTSDAM, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore guard Natalie DiSalvo scored a career-high 12 points as the 25th-ranked Knights shot a program-record 63.3% (31-for-49) from the floor on the way to a victory over State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) opponent Potsdam, 83-37, on Saturday afternoon at Jerry Welsh Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Knights opened the game on a 9-2 run and finished the first quarter leading 18-9 behind four points from first-year forward Kerrin Montgomery. 
• In the second quarter, Geneseo allowed Potsdam just five points while the Knights netted 25 to take a 43-14 lead into the halftime break.
• The Knights shot 14-for-21 (66.7%) from the floor in the second half as they outscored Potsdam 40-23 to pull away and earn the win.

QUICK FACTS

• The Knights broke a 27-year old record, shooting 63.3% (31-for-49) from the floor, topping a 60.0% shooting effort in a 119-43 victory over D'Youville on Dec. 1, 1990. None of the student-athletes on the active roster were born when the previous record was set.
• Geneseo allowed Potsdam just 14 points in the first half of the game, the fewest points allowed in a half this season by the Knights. 
• Junior guard Kelsey Poplawski scored 10 points as 12 Knights recorded at least one made field goal. 
• The Knights have scoring 80 or more points in four games this season after only reaching 80 points twice in the previous three seasons combined.
