Box Score 2 ALLIANCE, Ohio – The SUNY Geneseo women's volleyball team picked up a pair of victories on the second day of action at the Mount Union (Ohio) Invitational, Saturday. The Knights (2-2) came back for a 3-2 (13-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-15, 17-15) win over Wooster before shutting out Allegheny (Pa. ), 3-0 () to finish 2-2 at the season-opening tournament.
The victories were the first of head coach Hunter Drews' career, who took the reigns of the program over the summer.
First-year middle blocker Kiersten Colvin was named to the All-Tournament Team after a weekend that included eight kills and a .353 hitting percentage opposite Allegheny as well as nine kills and four solo blocks against Wooster.
Sophomore outside hitter Grace Cergol was credited with a double-digit average in both kills and digs over the four matches, including 27 kills opposite Denison (Ohio) on Friday before posting 27 digs against Wooster for a pair of career-highs.
