Box Score HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Houghton scored the game-winning goal with 12:22 left in overtime to down visiting SUNY Geneseo, 1-0, Wednesday in field hockey action. The loss snapped a seven-match winning-streak for the Knights.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Highlanders logged one shot on the goal for the game, but it proved to be the difference as Nicole Jennings tipped in a shot from close range to finish a penalty corner attempt.
- Geneseo's best scoring chance came in the 67th minute. Junior forward Gabriella Clare brought the ball into the circle from the left wing and fed first-year forward Haley Clark for a close-range shot that just missed the right post.
