Women's Basketball Too Much For Potsdam, 71-28

Box Score

GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo first-year forward McKenna Brooks scored 16 points, two short of her career-high, and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Knights to a 71-28 victory over visiting Potsdam in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's basketball action, Friday.

The Knights (18-6, 13-4 SUNYAC) built a 23-5 lead, including eight of senior guard Dana Cohan's 11 points on the day, by the end of the first quarter and never looked back as Geneseo clinched its third-straight victory.

Geneseo shot better than 45 percent (26-for-57) for the game while out-rebounding Potsdam (1-23, 0-17) by a 48-25 margin to clinch the win.

Geneseo closes the regular season on Saturday hosting Plattsburgh at 2:00 p.m. A victory would clinch the Knights the No. 2 seed for next week's SUNYAC Tournament and a first-round bye.
