Box Score ONEONTA, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo senior guard Dana Cohan scored 11 points, including the 1,000th of her career, to lead the Knights over host Oneonta, 56-45, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's basketball play, Saturday afternoon.
Cohan now stands 15th on Geneseo's all-time scoring list with 1,001 points to date. Junior guard Katie Durand had 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds while first-year forward McKenna Brooks added 11 points and four rebounds off the bench in the win.
"I'm proud the team was able to grind one out today on the road," said head coach Scott Hemer. "Last night's loss left a bitter taste in our mouths so being able to get back up after being knocked down was huge. We're all thrilled about Dana's accomplishment. Her unselfish play has gotten her over 400 career assists, which makes 1,000 career points that much more impressive."
