Box Score GENESEO N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo first-year forward Conlan Keenan scored his 12th goal of the season and added an assist to help the Knights defeat host Plattsburgh (5-4, 3-3 SUNYAC), 5-4, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play, Friday.
The Knights struck first when Keenan scored five minutes into the game. Geneseo took a 2-0 with another goal 10 minutes into the period by sophomore forward
Anthony Marra.
The Cardinals scored two goals in the first three minutes of the second period to even up the score. Geneseo (8-2-1, 4-2 SUNYAC) regained the lead seven minutes later through senior forward
Connor Anthoine. Plattsburgh drew level for the second time in the period with less than a minute remaining. However, Geneseo pulled back ahead after first-year forward
Andrew Romano scored to end the period leading, 4-3.
The Knights increased their lead to two goals 10 minutes into the third period thanks to a goal by senior forward
Jack Ceglarski. The Cardinals had what would have been the game-tying goal wiped off due to a penalty with under six minutes remaining in regulation
The Knights return to action Saturday (Dec. 10) at 7:00 p.m as they visit Potsdam.
