Women's Volleyball Comes Up Short At New Paltz, 3-1

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year outside hitter Grace Cergol totaled 15 kills and 13 digs but it was host New Paltz earning the 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 25-27, 25-17) victory, Friday, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Pool Play.

First-year libero Sam Mendelsohn chipped in 21 digs while sophomore setter Emily Ast coupled 34 assists with 14 digs in the conference setback.

Geneseo (10-9, 2-2 SUNYAC) plays two more pool play matches on Saturday, taking on Plattsburgh at 10:00 a.m. and Brockport at 12:30 p.m.
