MORRISVILLe, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior forward Giovanna Fasanello scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Knights to a 4-0 shutout at Morrisville, Friday, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) field hockey action.

After a scoreless first half, junior midfielder Diana Ruggiero scored on a one-timer from the top of the circle off a Fasanello feed in the fifth minute of the second half to put Geneseo on the board.

Less than four minutes later, Fasanello scored from the top of the circle off a pass from senior back Liz Doherty for the two-goal edge.

Junior forward Cara Stafford tipped home a long drive from Doherty in the 57th minute before Fasanello closed the scoring in the 64th minute off a Ruggiero assist.

Geneseo (4-8, 2-2 SUNYAC) plays its final home game of the regular season on Wednesday (Oct. 12), taking on Brockport at 4:00 p.m. in SUNYAC play.
