Women's Volleyball Comes Up Short At Scranton, 3-2

SCRANTON, Pa. - SUNY Geneseo first-year outside hitter Grace Cergol totaled match-highs with 17 kills and 26 digs, but it was host Scranton holding on for the 3-2 (25-22, 20-25, 25-18, 24-26, 15-11) decision, Wednesday.

Geneseo (15-12) first-year libero Sam Mendelsohn added 19 digs as sophomore defensive specialist Sarah Bain chipped in 10 digs in the loss.

The Knights finish the regular season this Friday and Saturday with three matches at the Skidmore Invitational. They will face Union on Friday at 7:30 p.m. before squaring off with the host Thoroughbreds (10:00 a.m.) and Ithaca (12:30 p.m.) on Saturday.
