CORTLAND, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo sophomore midfielder Ashley Byrne and junior forward Audrey Reid each scored a goal to lead the Knights to a 2-0 victory at Cortland, Friday, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's soccer play. 

Byrne started the scoring in the 25th minute of play after scoring on a long shot over the Red Dragon keeper's head. Senior midfielder Emily Green was credited with an assist on the play.

Reid took a feed from sophomore back Jennifer Moran and scored in the 56th minute on an 18-yard shot into the upper-left corner of the Cortland net to put the match out of reach.

Geneseo continues its road trip on Saturday (Oct. 15), taking on host Oswego at 1:00 p.m.
