Box Score

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior back Alexa Wandy scored what proved to be the game-winning tally in the 19th minute of play to lead the Knights to the 4-0 shutout at New Paltz, Saturday, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's soccer action.

Wandy scored during a corner kick attempt to put the Knights on the board, before senior midfielder Laurie Knapp made it a two-goal lead after finishing off a scramble in front of the Hawks' net in the 25th minute.

In the second half, senior forwad Erin O'Connor scored off an assist from junior midfielder Leah Greene in the 58th minute before O'Connor fed first-year midifielder Domenica Piccoli for a strike less than two minutes later for the winning margin.

Geneseo will play its third-consecutive road match this coming week, taking on host William Smith on Wednesday (Oct. 5) at 7:30 p.m.
