Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year keeper Emily Janiszewski was credited with four saves as the Knights played to a 0-0 tie against St. John Fisher in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.
"We weren't sharp in the areas of the field we needed to be sharp in," said head coach Nate Wiley. "Emily had some really good saves for us but we gave up opportunities and did not produce enough quality chances ourselves. Anytime you're on the road, you're happy to not have a loss but we are still dissappointed in the result. We knew we could have come away with the win today."
Geneseo fired 22 shots to the Cardinals' 12 but were unable to get on the scoreboard. Junior forward Erin O'Connor tallied a team-high seven shots, including five shots on goal, as both teams could not capitalize on their opportunities to tally the go-ahead goal in overtime.
The Knights (2-1-1) return to action next Friday, Sept. 18, for a game at Skidmore set to begin at 3 p.m.
