Men's Soccer Falls At Oneonta, 4-0

ONEONTA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior keeper Logan Calvey made four saves in the Knights 4-0 setback at Oneonta in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action, Saturday afternoon.

The Red Dragons got on the board 19 seconds into the match as senior midfielder Dylan Williams chipped the ball over Calvey after settling a pass from sophomore midfielder Jake Sweeney. In the 14th minute, Sweeney scored into the upper right corner of the net off an assist from senior forward Jake Sutherland.

Oneonta (8-2-1, 4-0 SUNYAC) made it 3-0 in the 27th minute when senior midfielder Sean Vinberg cut through Geneseo's defenders for the score. In the 83rd minute, senior back Alex Winiarski netted the Red Dragons' fourth goal.

The Knights were outshot on the day, 14-5, and were held to zero corner kicks.

Geneseo (5-4-3, 1-3 SUNYAC) returns to action this Wednesday, Oct. 7, at home opposite RIT. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
