GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior forwards Ryan Stanimir and Justin Scharfe each tallied a goal to erase and early two-goal deficit, but it was the Knights skating to a 2-2 draw with visiting Neumann, Saturday night.

The visiting quickly Knights (8-5-3) got on the board 58 seconds into the game on a tally by Liam Board. Neumann made it a 2-0 lead after Zac Lazzaro broke out of the Geneseo zone down the right boards and fed a cutting Matt Mazzarolo, who flipped a shot into the top right corner of the goal with 13:53 on the clock.

Geneseo cut the lead in half with 1:17 to play in the first period after first-year forward Trevor Hills streaked down the left boards and dropped a pass to Stanimir, who scored on a slap shot from the left face-off circle to make the score 2-1 after 20 minutes of play.

The Knights evened the score early in the second period after sophomore defenseman Cam Hampson brought the puck down the left boards and tossed a pass toward the right post that Scharfe tipped over Neumann goalie Ben Curley's shoulder with 17:01 remaining.

The game would finish in a draw as Geneseo senior goalie Nick Horrigan was credited with 29 saves, including 13 in the second period. Curley totaled 36 saves for Neumann.

Geneseo returns to action on Tuesday night, hosting Nazareth at 7:00 p.m. at Wilson Ice Arena.
