SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior goalie Dayna Mercer registered eight saves, but it was No. 6 Skidmore shutting out the Knights, 5-0, Saturday afternoon.

Skidmore (3-0) held a 2-0 halftime advantage and added three more second-half goals to earn the victory. 

Geneseo (1-3) was out-shot, 28-4, on the day, but held Skidmore over four goals under its scoring avearge (9.5 gpg) entering the weekend.

The Knights return to action on Wednesday, traveling to Geneva, N.Y. to take on William Smith at 7:00 p.m.
