Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo junior forward Sarah Malinak scored one goal, but it was Rochester taking the 4-1 win, Saturday afternoon at Fauver Stadium.
The Yellowjackets (15-4) were the first to get on the board as Gina Cunningham converted a feed from Nicole Cerza during a scramble in front at 4:45.
At 16:51, Malinak took the ball to the net following a long run along the right side to even the score with her sixth goal of the season. However, it would be the Knights' (8-11) only tally of the day as the Yellowjackets went on to score three unanswered goals.
Less than two minutes later, Rochester recorded their second goal as Cunningham went in for the tap-in off of a long shot by Allison Resnick at 18:16. With two seconds left in first-half play, the Yellowjackets added another goal by Callie Fisher to bring the score to 3-1.
Rochester's final tally came in the 40th minute on Michelle Relin's back hand from the left side.
Junior goalie Dayna Mercer collected eight saves on the day as the Yellowjackets outshot the Knights 21-11.
