Box Score 2 FREDONIA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo dropped its two matches during day-two action of State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Pool Play, Saturday. The Knights fell to New Paltz, 3-1, 25-13, 20-25, 25-10, 25-18), before being shutout by Fredonia, 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-18).
In the opener versus New Paltz, first-year defensive specialist Kathleen Irwin totaled 15 digs while sophomore right side hitter Emma Lannon added 11 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Tricia Baxley was credited seven kills along with nine digs in the loss.
Opposite Fredonia, sophomore libero Dani Sayler picked up 25 digs while Baxley added 12 digs in the loss.
The Knights will close out the season next Saturday (Nov. 1) hosting St. John Fisher and Hiram. Matches are slated to start at 10:00 a.m.
