GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo junior goalie Dayna Mercer collected 10 saves, but it was No. 20 Cortland shutting out the visiting Knights, 6-0, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play, Friday afternoon.

With the win, the Red Dragons clinch the top spot in the SUNYAC and will host the conference tournament this year.

Cortland (11-2) scored its first goal in the 14th minute and didn't look back. Trailing 4-0 at the half, the Knights (5-9) were unable to score on last year's SUNYAC runner-up. The Red Dragons outshot the Knights 26-2 on the day.

Geneseo returns to action Tuesday (Sept. 21), hosting Houghton for a 7:00 p.m. faceoff.
