Box Score 2 CORTLAND, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo split two matches in Saturday's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) doubleheader. The Knights bounced back after a 3-1 (25-18, 14-25, 25-23, 26-24) ) setback to Oneonta with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-16) win against Potsdam.
In the loss to Oneonta, sophomore outside hitter Tricia Baxley totaled 12 kills, while junior outside hitter Paige Pendleton added 11 kills on 21 swings for a .521 hitting percentage. Junior outside hitter Lizzy Morton added 17 digs to the cause.
In the Potsdam win, Morton was credited with 11 kills while junior outside hitter Erika Dannenfelser (14 digs), sophomore libero Dani Sayler (13 digs) and first-year Kathleen Irwin (10 digs) reached double-figures in the win.
The Knights return to action on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 24-25) to take on Oswego, New Paltz and host Fredonia to continue SUNYAC Pool Play.
