The Statesmen (4-3) tallied both of its goals in the first half while holding the Knights scoreless en route to the victory. The teams tied, 14-14, in shots, while the home team held a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal.

 

Senior Dan Maddock started in goal, logging a save in 23:42 of work. Sophomore Logan Calvey also received 66:18 in goal, registering three saves on the afternoon.

 

Geneseo (2-4-1), which has played on the road for all but one match thus far, will play back-to-back home games this Friday (Sept. 27) against Buffalo State and Saturday (Sept. 28) versus Fredonia to open State University of New York Athletic Conference play.
