Women's Soccer Falls In SUNYAC Championship, 4-1, At Oneonta

Box Score

ONEONTA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year forward Erin O'Connor scored her fifth goal in six games, but it was Oneonta defeating the Knights, 4-1, in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Soccer Championship match, Saturday.

The Red Dragons jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead with two goals in the first 23 minutes and netted two more tallies in the first seven minutes of the second half to put the game out of reach.

O'Connor put the Knights on the board in the 72nd minute off an assist from first-year forward Laurie Knapp but it was the Red Dragons taking the 2013 SUNYAC title and earning the automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.

O'Connor joined senior midfielder Alexa Krebs and back Samantha Sherman on the All-Tournament Team.

Geneseo finishes the season with a 7-8-5 record.
