Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore middle blocker Paige Pendleton totaled 13 kills but it was Nazareth bouncing back from a 2-1 deficit to beat the Knights, 3-2 (25-23, 22-25, 31-33, 28-26, 15-11) in women's volleyball play, Wednesday, in Schrader Gymnasium.
First-year outside hitter Tricia Baxley and sophomore outside hitter Lizzy Morton each had 12 kills, while defensively, sophomore Samantha Holdredge and first-year Dani Sayler totaled 11 and 10 digs, respectively, for the Knights.
Sophomore Erika Dannenfelser compiled 49 assists for Geneseo (11-19).
For Nazareth (25-6), junior hitter Kassandra Buseck was credited with 17 kills and a .379 hitting percentage to lead the Golden Flyer attack. Junior outside Olivia Harrigan and junior middle Maria Allocco registered double-digit kills with 14 and 12, resepectively.
First-year setter Madi Wickens added 47 assists and first-year defensive speicalist Maureen Thayer pitched in 15 digs for Nazareth.
Geneseo will finish the 2013 campaign this Saturday with two matches against Alfred (2:00 p.m.) and host St. John Fisher (4:00 p.m.).
