Lucas Rucci

The SUNY Geneseo Athletics Department welcomes the addition of Lucas Rucci as an Assitant Athletic Trainer. Rucci will rejoin the Knights after completing some of his clinical rotation with Geneseo, while earning his masters from Brockport in 2024.

"Lucas proved during his clinical rotation with us that he is an intelligent, reliable, hard working athletic trainer that has a bright future," said head Athletic Trainer Angelo Zegarelli. "Lucas builds strong relationships with his student-athletes and co-workers. He has continued to build his repertoire with his work at University of Rochester Sports Medicine and we are looking forward to having Lucas on board."

Following the completion of his masters program in 2024, Rucci worked with the University of Rochester Medical Center where he worked in an outpatient orthopedic clinic as well as providing athletic training outreach services at Wheatland Chili High School.

"I am honored and excited to embark on this new athletic training journey at SUNY Geneseo," said Rucci. "The town of Geneseo has been my home for a while, and I am excited to give back to my community by helping our collegiate student athletes on and off the playing field!"
