Coach Prong enters his first year as the assistant coach for Geneseo softball. He has coached softball for over 25 years, most prominently at the high school and travel levels, leading programs such as the Conklin Raiders, TC Tremors, and NY Stars. He recently helped guide Eastridge High School to historic back-to-back Section V Finals appearances, and previously helped lead Victor High School to a 2018 NY State AA Championship. He has helped coach a number of All-Greater Rochester and All-State student-athletes at the high school level, and has prepared his travel organizations' players to excel at all divisions at the collegiate level.
Coach Prong will work primarily with hitters, emphasizing the development of physical and mental power-hitting skills. He will also work with catchers and outfield to build on the program's top-ranked defensive standing among the Empire 8.
A former collegiate baseball player who still competes in national tournaments, Prong is the owner of Lester's Upstate Sports based out of Victor, NY where he resides with his wife, Laura. He has two children - Michelle and Brett.
