ROCHESTER, NY: The SUNY Geneseo women's track and field team competed at RIT this afternoon.
Lindsy Tellez and
Kayla Anastasia took second and third in the 100m, finishing at 12.47 and 12.73 seconds. In the 800m,
Greylynn Guyer crossed the finished at 2:18.77 for fourth place while
Stella Riley took second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:04.76.
The Knights swept the 200m, with
Lindsay Tellez taking first at 25.37 seconds, followed by
Kayla Anastasia and
Mackenzie Kubat at 25.85 and 26.14 seconds. The 5000mm saw the same incredible performance, with
Hana Ohashi,
Anna Tessier and
Maggie Kleiber taking the top three sports, with Ohashi crossing at 19:09.90 for first place.
Mckenzie Zafuto and
Ashley Tubbs took second and third in the hammer throw, throwing a 46.06m and 45.84m respectively while
Payton Mehalick took second in the shotput with a throw of 12.34m.
Gigi Ferro landed on top in the high jump with a height of 1.48m.
In the triple jump,
Marisa Mazzacco and
Leondda Celestin led the way for the Knights, jumping a distance of 11.15m and 10.06m.
Mackenzie Kubat and
Kayla Anastasia followed it up with a first and third place finish in the long jump, with Kubat jumping a 5.63m for first place.
The Knights will take on the Empire 8 Championships May 1
st and 2
nd, hosted by St. John Fisher.
