CHESTER, P.A. - The SUNY Geneseo women's track and field team traveled to Widener University for the Paul Donahue Invitational on Saturday, April 18.
The 4x400 relay team of
Sophia Barclay,
Nicole Gretzinger,
Stella Riley and
Sierra Doody took second overall with a time of 3:50.99, marking the ninth fastest time in program history and the 14th-best in Division III this season. Doody also competed in the 400m and finished third at 57.01, and the 800m where she was the top Geneseo finisher at 2:09.85.
Dakota Limbert was close behind in the 800, earning the 12th fastest time in Division III at 2:11.04, which is also the fifth fastest in program history.
Greylynn Guyer also earned a top-20 time in the country at the meet, finishing the 3000m Steeplechase in third place at 11:00.00.
The Knights also traveled to Cortland for throws events, where
McKenzie Zafuto competed in the hammer throw and tallied a distance of 48.60m, the fifth best in program history. Fellow Knight
Ashley Tubbs also took on the hammer, and threw 47.76m for the sixth best distance in program history.
