ERIE, PA: SUNY Geneseo Flag Football team took down Mercyhurst 14-6 to bring them to 2-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The first quarter was a defensive battle as neither team was able to register a touchdown.
• The Knights fell behind in the second quarter after Mercyhurst registered the first touchdown of the game, but the Knights got the stop on the one point try. However, after an interception by Riley Griffin, the Knights would take the lead with an Ella Koopman rushing touchdown and a successful one point try to give the Knights a 7-6 lead entering halftime.
• The third quarter started with both teams getting multiple stops. The Knights broke through and extended their lead to 14-6 after Abigail Uhrich caught a two yard touchdown pass from Ella Koopman. 
• Emily McLouth would help secure the victory having two interceptions to close the game out and give the Knights a 14-6 win

QUICK FACTS:

• Ella Koopman had 119 passing yards and 81 rushing yards while having a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown on the day.
• Riley Griffin and Emily McLouth led the defense with 2 interceptions each in a dominating performance.
• Corina Dunn led the offense with 5 receptions for 37 yards for the Knights

The Knights take on Roberts Wesleyan University on Tuesday, March 24 at home at 6 p.m.
