ITHACA, NY: The SUNY Geneseo Men's Swimming & diving team defeated Ithaca College 159-141 for their 11
th win this season.
The men's 200-yard medley relay team of
Dylan Gallub,
Alex Palmer,
Brian Pabisch and
Jake Nielsen took first place with a time of 1:30.68, beating out Ithaca by .1 second. Palmer went on to finish in first in the 100-yard breast, finishing at 56.04 with
Peter Peyser in third at 57.64. Pabisch followed it with another first place in the 50-yard freestyle, touching at 20.80, with
Jake Nielsen close behind in second at 20.86.
Nielsen led for the Knights in the 100-yard free with a time of 46.46, followed by Peyser. In third with a time of 46.57. In the 200-yard breast, Palmer and
Connor Baird took first and second, touching at 2:04.28 and 2:07.84 respectively. They did it again in the 200-yard IM, with Palmer taking first with a time of 1:54.39 and Baird in second with a time of 1:55.01.
Jack Keene finished on top in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 50.22, with teammates Pabisch and Gallub tying for third with their time of 50.72. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Pabisch, Nielsen, Peyser and Gallub led the way for Geneseo, finishing at 1:21.48 for first place.
Greg Meder took first in the 3-meter dive, totaling 354.00 points, followed by
Cameron Corona in second with 288.30 points. Meder led again in the 1-meter, scoring 353.85 for first place, with Corona in third with 281.10 points.
The Knights will host the Geneca Diving Invite on February 7
th before heading to the Empire 8 Championships February 18
th to 21
st.
