GENESEO, NY: The SUNY Geneseo men's swimming & diving team celebrated senior day this afternoon, taking the win over Case Western Reserve 172 to 128.
The men's 200-yard medley relay kicked it off with a first-place finish, with
Dylan Gallub,
Alex Palmer, Brian Babisch and
Jake Nielsen touching at 1:31.70. Freshman
Oliver Lutz took first in the 1000-yard free with his time of 10:07.93, and again in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:54.25.
Alex Palmer and
Connor Baird followed it up in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing at 56.29 and 58.11 for the top two spots.
Pabisch and Nielsen led the way for the Knights in the 50-yard free, touching at 20.92 and 21.08, followed by Pabisch earning another first place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with his time of 52.30. Palmer had an impressive finish in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing at 2:05.60, following it with another in the 200-yard IM for a top time of 1:57.10. The 400-yard freestyle relay team took first with a time of 3:07.12, four seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
Greg Meder and Nathan Davey finished on top in both the 1- and 3-meter dives. Meder placed first in both with scores of 357.85(1M) and 361.15(3M), while Davey totaled 313.05(1M) and 325.45(3M).
The Knights will head to RIT on January 23
rd and 24
th.
