Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team couldn't pull out a win its 2025 season opener at RIT on Wednesday afternoon, falling to the Tigers by a score of 5-2.
The duo of
Natalie Pipes and
Joann Catalano secured a 6-0 victory at second doubles, but the Knights couldn't pull out the doubles point as they fell at first and third doubles.
In singles action,
Talia Wutz provided a highlight for Geneseo, winning at fifth singles in a thrilling three-set match, 6-4 4-6 10-7. Catalano nearly pulled out the a three-set win as well, but fell in the 10-point tiebreaker 10-7.
Lauren Levatino earned the second point for Geneseo with a forfeit at sixth singles.
