ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The No. 12 SUNY Geneseo women's cross country team opened up its 2025 season at the Rodenbeck Invitational, hosted by St. John Fisher, and came away with a second place finish in the 4k race, narrowly falling to the University of Buffalo after placing five runners inside the top-10.
Kaitlyn Hotaling led the way for Geneseo in third place, racing to a time of 14:41.3.
Annabelle Czekanski,
Alexa Kosier, and
Greylynn Guyer placed fifth through seventh with times of 15:07.2, 15:07.8, and 15:13.6, respectively.
Ella Grinnell rounded out the top five for the Knights with a time of 15:23.2 in 10th place. Only runners from the Knights and the Bulls were in the top-15 of the race, with the Division I foe narrowly pulling out the first-place team finish.
The Knights will have some time off before their next meet as they will head to the Yellowjacket Invitational on Sep. 20.
