ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The No. 3 SUNY Geneseo men's cross country team opened up the 2025 season on a high note, racing to a first place finish at the Rodenbeck Invitational, hosted by St. John Fisher. The Knights had six of the first 10 runners to cross the finish line in the race.
Collin Brown led the way for the Knights, placing second overall with a time of 19:05.6, while
Ian Zehnder (19:12.3), and
James Tette (19:36.7) were right behind him in third and fourth.
Owen Murphy and
Sean Verbosky rounded out the top five for Geneseo in sixth and seventh place with times of 19:41.7 and 19:46.1, respectively.
Max Schnitman and
Brian Kenny took 10th and 11th place, recording the same time of 19:54.2.
The No. 3 ranked Knights will continue to ramp up their training as they take some time off before their next meet when they head to the Yellowjacket Invitational on Sep. 20.
