GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's track and field team competed in their final meet of the season before Empire 8 Championships next weekend, as they took on the Cardinal Classic on Saturday, April 26.
Brynn Mooney competed in the 100m for the Knights and took second with a time of 12.37 seconds, while
Kayla Huba took on the 200m and finished fifth overall.
Nicole Gretzinger and
Dakota Limbert picked up a pair of first place finishes for Geneseo in the 400m and 800m, respectively, with times of 1:00.11 and 2:15.62.
Ari Reback added a fifth place finish in the 1500m, and
Sophia Barclay finished fifth as well in the 100m hurdles.
Ava Bagley finished third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.58, while the team of Mooney, Huba,
Lindsay Tellez and
Jillian Ambler took first in the 4x100 relay at 48.26.
Isabel Marzec and
Jillian O'Rourke rounded out the top performances in the track events in the Steeplechase by taking second and third, respectively.
Ambler,
Janelle Eckl, and Huba all finished top-eight in the long, with Ambler leading the way in third at 5.86m.
Zoe Connor took second in the shot put at 12.16m, while
Payton Mehalick finished fourth. Connor went on to finish first overall in the hammer throw at 50.14m, and
Skyler Klimow took fifth in both the discus and javelin.
