GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team traveled to the University of Rochester on Friday afternoon and couldn't pull out a victory, falling 7-0. This was the final scheduled match of the season for the Knights, and they will finish the season with an 8-5 record.
The Knights were unable to pull out a win in doubles action, with
Natalie Pipes and
Joann Catalano putting up the closest match in second doubles at 6-3.
Elena DeRiso highlighted the singles action, but couldn't come out on top in a hard fought battle at sixth singles, falling by a score of 7-5 6-2. Pipes nearly won the first set at first singles, but fell 6-4, while
Samantha Rava nearly pulled off the a second set win but fell 6-3.
