GREENSBORO, N.C. - The SUNY Geneseo men's swimming and diving team competed at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championship Meet from Wednesday, March 19 through March 22 and finished in 21st place with 59 points.
Trent Makowiec highlighted the competition for the Knights by winning a national title in both the one and three-meter dive events. The championships marked the first of Makowiec's career, and reaches four overall for the diving program, with Sam Randall winning the one-meter in 2016 and three-meter in 2018.
On Saturday,
Brian Pabisch and
Jordan Nielsen competed in the 100-yard freestyle, placing 27th and 50th, respectively. Then Pabisch and Nielsen teamed up with
Jake Nielsen and
Dylan Gallub for the 400-yard freestyle relay, where they placed 20th with a time of 3:01.39.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Trent Makowiec captured his second National Championship of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championship Meet on Friday evening, earning the top spot in the one-meter dive event. Makowiec scored a 528.70 to win the one-meter dive event, securing the program's fourth diving national championship performance, with Sam Randall winning the one-meter in 2016 and three-meter in 2018.
Makowiec and the Knights now sit in 19th place overall for the meet with 59 points.
Jake Nielsen and
Jordan Nielsen also competed on the day, placing 33rd and 35th, respectively, in the 100 yard breaststroke.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The SUNY Geneseo men's swimming and diving team competed at day two of the NCAA Championship Meet on Thursday, and the men's 200 yard freestyle relay team highlighted the action with Honorable Mention All-American honors with a ninth-place finish.
The team of

Jake Nielsen, and
Dylan Gallub qualified for finals after finishing 10th in prelims with a time of 1:20.66. The Knights then improved upon their time in the evening session, touching the wall in 1:20.34 for ninth place and Honorable Mention All-American recognition. Geneseo sits in 17th place overall after two days of competition with 39 points.

Makowiec scored a 558.35 to win the three-meter dive event, securing the program's third diving national championship performance, with Sam Randall winning the one-meter in 2016 and three-meter in 2018.
Joining Makowiec in All-American honors was
Brian Pabisch, who secured his spot in the finals with a time of 20.15 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle, which broke the Empire 8 record. Pabisch went on to finish 16th, earning Honorable Mention All-American distinction.
Jordan Nielsen also competed in the 50 yard freestyle on the first day and finished 33rd with a time of 20.57.
