GREENSBORO, N.C. - The SUNY Geneseo women's swimming and diving team competed at day two of the NCAA Championship Meet on Thursday, and senior
Alise Hale highlighted the action with Honorable Mention All-American honors in the 100 yard butterfly.
Hale earned her spot in the finals in the 100 yard butterfly after posting a time of 55.04 in the prelims for 11th place. She then improved on her time in the finals, touching the wall in 54.94 seconds for 10th place and Honorable Mention All-Americans honors. Teammate
Alex Sotek also competed in the 100 yard butterfly, and posted a time of 56.03 for 30th place.
Abby Funk took on the 200 yard freestyle in the prelims and recorded a time of 1:57.09 for 47th place, then the team of Hale, Sotek,
Emily Thomas and
Nina Chicatelli competed in the 200 yard freestyle relay and finished 24th at 1:35.54.

Alex Sotek highlighted the action with Honorable Mention All-American honors in the 50 yard freestyle.
Sotek secured her spot in the finals after registering a time of 23.05 in the prelims, the 10th fastest time of the morning session. In the finals, Sotek recorded a time of 23.18 for 12th place overall and Honorable Mention All-American honors. The team of Sotek,
Nina Chicatelli,
Alise Hale, and
Emily Thomas barely missed out on qualifying for finals in the 400 yard medley relay, finishing 17th in the prelims with a time of 3:48.70, just .35 seconds off of qualifying.
Abby Funk competed in the 500 yard freestyle and recorded a time of 5:07.67 in 41st place, while Hale took on the 200-yard IM and earned a time of 2:11.00 for 48th place.
