ITHACA, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's and women's diving teams took on the NCAA Diving Regional Championships this weekend at Ithaca.
Trent Makowiec secured a spot at the NCAA Championships in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives after placing top-two in both events. He scored 561.40 in the 1-meter, taking first overall and second in the 3-meter with his score of 545.05. Greg Meder competed as well, scoring a 441.15 and 487.20 in the 1- and 3-meter respectively. Evan Rigal finished his season with a 363.20 in the 1-meter and 373.80 in the 3-meter.
Lydia Benjamin led the Knights in the 3-meter with her score of 424.85, taking 6th place and followed it with 340.40 in the 1-meter. Lauren Savage ended the meet with a score of 326.55 in the 1-meter and 343.15 in the 3-meter.
The SUNY Geneseo Swimming and Diving teams will head to the NCAA Championships from March 19th to 22nd. For the full results from Diving Regionals, click here.
