UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's track and field team traveled to Utica on Saturday afternoon for a meet, and came away with some impressive performances.
Geneseo dominated the pentathlon competition, with
Janelle Eckl earning first at 3456 points, and then
Elaina Flaitz,
Lanna Wandy, and
Mackenzie Kubat taking second through fourth, respectively.
Isabel Marzec took second in the 5000m at 18:28.87, while
Penelope Greene finished second in the 3000m at 9:41.73.
Sierra Doody added another first place finish for the Knights in the mile at 5:02.61, while
Sophia Barclay earned second in the 400m.
Brynn Mooney picked up a first place finish in the 200m with a time of 25.12. In the field events,
Jillian Ambler took the top spot in the long jump at 5.55m, while
Zoe Connor took first in the shot put at 17.60m.
Lauren Jaklitsch finished second in the shot put, and Connor went on to earn third in the weight throw.
