ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo men's cross-country team won the Niagara Region Championship on Saturday morning behind four runners finishing in the top ten and seven finishing in the top 25. The Knights earn a trip to the NCAA Championship next weekend in South Carolina with their first place finish.
Ryan Hagan set the pace for Geneseo, winning the championship meet with a time of 24:11.7. Following Hagan was
Emerson Comer and
Pierce Young, they took second and third with times of 24:51.4 & 24:51.6 respectively.
Collin Brown kept the Knights momentum going, taking 6
th place with a time of 25:09.4. The other top runners for the Knights were
Connor Hitt placing 17
th at 25:35.5,
Thomas Blake in 18
th crossing the finish at 25:39.5 and
James Tette who placed 22
nd at 25:56.3.
