Geneseo picked up the doubles point in the match by sweeping all three matches.
Natalie Pipes and
JoAnn Catalano earned a 6-3 win at first doubles, then
Talia Wutz and
Ashleigh Fredriksen followed suit with a 6-3 win of their own at third doubles.
Samantha Rava and
Rachel Molloy secured the sweep with a 6-2 win at second doubles.
Pipes kept the momentum going in singles play, picking up a 6-3 6-0 win at first singles, while Rava cruised to a 6-0 6-1 victory at second singles. Molloy and Catalano won by scores of 6-0 6-4 and 6-3 6-1, respectively.
Lauren Levatino played fifth singles for Geneseo and earned a 6-1 6-0 victory, while Wutz won 6-3 6-0 at sixth singles.
Geneseo improves to 6-2 overall and 5-1 in Empire 8 action, and will travel to Brockport on October 8 at 4 p.m. for their next match.
